Weekends seems to pass faster and faster nowadays. It just seems like a few hours ago, I was waiting for dear's call to pick me at punggol on Friday evening. Next moment, I am here in office early Monday morning.

Alvon is able to sit without falling to the side now. Maybe for around 3 to 5 mins before he slides or falls to a side. So there must be someone around him. We will play with him on his mat more often now. At times, we lie him down at this corner of the mat, next few mins, he will be on the other side of the mat. He will turn here and there, so we also have to take note of his head hitting the floor when he turns out of the mat.

We let him try on Heinz teething biscuit yesterday. I thought maybe I tested it out myself first, and luckily, because it turned out that the biscuits were very hard. It doesn't seems to melt in mouth. But we still gave it to Alvon and he just simply "biting" in his mouth like a teething toy. Maybe that is the intention of a teething biscuit. The biscuit softened a little after he put it in his mouth for a while. But after a while, he seems to lost interest in that and we got a mess of biscuit bits on the playmat. We had it video it down, maybe will upload to facebook.

Talking about the biscuits, we bought them at Simei NTUC Fairprice. One of the biscuit box, was actually expiring in 062009 and it was still on the shelf where I took. In just 3 more days, it will expired and it was still on the shelf waiting for parents to buy for their babies. In addition, the box was actually tape at the opening which I didn't notice. Next day, we went back for an explanation. We thought maybe can get a cash voucher or whatever, but then, somehow we were only exchanged with a new box of biscuit with a later expiry date and a free baby doll toy from Mamy Poko diaper promotion. What's more, Alvon don't seems to like the toy also.

Alvon is putting on L size diapers now. Although it looks kind of big on him, but the front cover is wider which I feel is better when he wears them. Oh forgot to mention, putting on diaper for him need to battle now. He will always turn his body or use his hands to hold his toes. Hopefully, when he can walks himself, we will change him into diaper pants and should be easier to wear. But we need to check out the pricing. It should also be more expensive.

Happy 6th month, my dear bao-bei..

It is quite hard to believe at times that our little prince is turning half year old. Time passes fast. Daddy & mommy wish for you, is simply to be a healthy and happy boy.

We went for a 30 minutes photo-shoot. We should be able to see the photos tomorrow. Hope our family portait turns out nice.

We have been feeding alvon baby cereal for around 10 or more times. Each amount around 15ml feed. However, yesterday, alvon managed to finish 30ml feed for the first time. Previously, we have to get his attention and "force" him to open his mouth. And now alvon learnt to open his mouth when he see the cereal on his spoon.

Another achievement.

Mommy been avoiding going into forum threads so to save to buy me a play mat. Finally she managed to persuade daddy and bought me a mickey playmat. Now, I have a designated play area on the mat, where I can flip and sit on too. Soon, mommy will upload pictures of me playing my toys on it.

I've took another birth step yesterday. Mommy put me in my sitting position on the playmat. She let go her hands and I managed to sit there for like 3 minutes before sliding to the side.

Yesterday night, I slept at 10pm after a nap from 5pm to 7pm. And it was the first time I slept through the night till 6am, when mommy gets ready for her work time. Throughout, mommy did wake up to turn me on my sides and covered me warm, but I didn't cry for feed. I guess it was probably due to sleep with the air-con on and I slept quite late.

This sunday, going to see Jensen-didi and having my first photoshoot. Although it is just a half hour photoshoot, mommy is looking forward to it excitedly. And this sat, I am turning 6th month old.

We know all the while, Alvon don't really like to lie down on his back. He will "gei-gei" cry and make noise. Until yesterday, we found he got a new way out.

When we make him lie down, he will "gei-gei" cough by sticking out his tongue and make few cough sounds. Then when he started doing so, we thought he is choking and make him sit up straight away.

Pull too much similar stunts, we saw through him and we laughed at his cheeky doings.

Alvon likes to baby-talk more now. He will often "ah-ah" here "o-o" there.

On Tuesday, we bring alvon see his doctor. He seems to have red spots around his mouth and neck, body and arms. It will be more obvious after bath. Finally, I can bring alvon there to confirm what is wrong. He got enzyme, kind of sensitive skin. Although doctor said it is still mild, it is not known if he will recover out of it as he grows older. So now, daddy often said, "alvon is polar bear now". We just have to keep him cool always, to prevent the red spots coming out.

Every night, dear will apply lu-yi you (some medicated oil) for alvon's tummy. And for 2 nights, it was lipa-jiejie doing it for alvon. It just feels blissful watching the process (of daddy applying the oil). Sometimes after applying, they will have "bolster" fight, with alvon hugging one of his small bolster and his daddy fighting with him with another small bolster.

Fatherly love, I'll call it.

Father's day is coming and I've got his present ready! I'm sure he will like it very much.

Note: Reason why I don't apply for alvon is because my fingers will get itchy and red with blister when I use that oil
