I am going to post a blog on what happened a week before.
On last friday, I was told that my brother was tested H1N1 positive and fearing for alvon, we left him at my in-law place downstairs while we cleaned up the whole house till Sat wee hour. My mother-in-law slept with alvon and only she carried alvon up in the morning around 8am, we found that alvon was bit feverish. On checking with a themometer, we found his temperature was 38.5 degrees. Without waiting, we rushed him to KKH A&E.
Upon reaching, we immediately made known of my brother's positive test and the doctor did a swab for alvon, told us the lab will take up to 3 days for the result. Meanwhile, we were given only syrup for his fever and sent us home. The whole day, we were so worried but his fever managed to go down to around 37 to 38 degrees.
Till around 9pm when we were getting alvon ready for his sleep, we received the result and true enough, alvon was tested positive as well. The doctor on the phone also recommended us to admit him to KKH for monitoring as he belongs to the high risk group of children below 5 years old. On hearing this, we packed few stuffs and drove to KKH again.
Alvon was immediately allocated a bed and we were told only a caregiver could remain behind with him. I will never leave him from my sight, so I was the caregiver then. However, I was not sure if I can manage alone or not. But I had no choice, his daddy was not allowed to stay with us. Once settled in his bed, his daddy went home.
As Alvon was used to his yao-lang, he had a hard time falling and sleeping long on his bed. He didn't want to sleep and without much toys, I could only keep carry him and walked around. On Sunday morning, the medical officer came for checkup, find that Alvon was bit tired and sian, not responding well, and on touching his soft part of his head which was quite tense, told me he may have brain infection! I was so scared by then. Whatever the medical office said, I could not really register well then. I called his daddy and told him about the tense soft part and what the medical officer said, he rushed down to find out more. After a talk with the medical officer, they decided to monitor a while more, especially if his temperature went up again. As his daddy couldn't stay, he had to leave us there and went back home worried about us.
At night, more doctor or specialist came by and examined Alvon. By then, he was responding more and laughing to nurses and doctors, so they concluded it was tense caused probably by him feeling unwell and sleepy. So, as long as his fever didn't go up, it should not be a concern.
For me, I didn't get to lactate as Alvon didn't get to sleep much, and I developed engorgement and it was my turn to feel sick and feverish. I pointed out the medical officer and voiced out that I cannot manage Alvon alone, so they approved special request to let his daddy to stay over with us and helped me. With his daddy help, I could lactate and get more rest while taking turns to monitor Alvon.
Thankfully, Alvon's fever had subsided for about a day and doctor allowed us to go home on Monday. After lunch and settled the discharge procedure, we happily went home and that ended Alvon's stay in KKH.
Till now, he is still having a dry cough which doctor said will not go away that fast and probably takes like 3 weeks to subside. On Friday, we brought Alvon to a PD at Tiong Bahru and asked about his head concern. That PD examined and said it doesn't seems to have any issue at all. In fact, he said Alvon was very active and couldn't have any issue. Finally, we are more convinced and felt relieved.
The 8th day since the whole incident started, I am feeling grateful. Alvon was laughing away, giggling away, having a fun time turning here and there on his playmat, catching his favourite toy tain, watching tv with us, listening to his toy music and etc. And now, sleeping soundly on his bed beside us and having a good dream probably.
Good night, my dear boy. Daddy and mommy love you much. Muackz

Another incident. Think mommy's temper changes from bad to worse within few days :)
Anyway, mommy prepared carrot and brocoli puree for me today. I don't really like them but mommy said it is good for me. Tomorrow will be the same diet, carrot and brocoli in cereal. Hope my stomach can take the nutrients well and not cause me stomach pain or anything.
Oh almost forgot about the tai mo bi and qi dai ying had arrived. Mommy will blog about them when pictures are up.
Mommy is feeling tired and she is going to have her beauty sleep now.
Good nite, mommy.. muackz :P

Today, daddy and mommy brought my two grandmothers, jiejie and me to Vivocity for dinner. Although it was just a dinner and walked around for a while, I had enjoyed myself lots. I was so curious the whole night, sitting in my pram and looking at passer-by shopping. Mommy thinks it was my first time to Vivocity. During the ride home, I was so tired out, and slept for the whole journey home.
Mommy had learnt some lessons from her experienced friend. Now I get to enjoy my teething biscuit together when daddy and mommy having their long lunch or dinner. The best thing is that the biscuit won't drop on the floor as I still cannot hold it properly. It was tied with a rubber-band, secured to the pacifier chain and held on my romper collar. So no matter how many times I drop the biscuit, it won't fall to the ground and I still can catch it myself. Now I can eat half of the biscuit for an hour. However, daddy and mommy realised I will always make a mess eating that biscuit. The mess will be all over the floor, my face and romper :)
New favourite biscuit - Gerber graduate puff. I only tried the sweet potato favour. And mommy had just bought another favour, apple, for me to try tomorrow.

Sunday, we brought alvon to this free trial class for thelittlegym. This program bascially is like a playarea where professional teaches how to play or exercise your little ones. We were almost late but arrived just in time for their 1st stretch - which was to flip alvon from sitting on ur legs over to standing behind our head. Well, it sound chim from what I describe. Yes, I feel so, thus it was daddy who did it with him. Tried once, and alvon seems in a daze after the "flip". Then the program went with few singing and clapping and fun activities. There was a total of about 10 parents with their little one. Thanks to Shannon, managed to get a slot on Saturday morning. After the lesson, we learnt that it cost a total of $250 for 5 lessons. We feel it was not worth signing a package for these fun, although we think it was fun for alvon. Forgot to mention, that lesson we had it free as MS branch just open, it is their promotion free trial month.
Alvon can sit a lot better now, although he still keeps his hands dangling in mid air and balancing himself front and back. He still don't seems to be able to start crawling or sit himself up from tummy. At times, I will feel worried but I also know it is to individual baby when they learn to crawl or when they learn to sit up.
