Alvon - First Day Of Toddler SchoolAs I had mentioned in previous post, Alvon was having a fever the night before his first day of school. However, in the morning, his temperature was at 36.7 degrees, thus we decided to proceed bringing him to school.
On reaching school entrance, he was to be checked for his temperature. However, he cried upon seeing the lady with the thermometer. After a few coaxing and carrying, we managed to calm him down and measured his temperature. First try, 37.6 degree and second try 37.3 degree. The lady explained if it is more than 37.5 degree, he will not be grant entry to the school compound inside.
We entered the playground area and Alvon walked abit, wanting to head for the playground. I pulled him back and proceed to the classtroom. Inside there were 2 teachers with 2 other students. Teacher Fifah was the first person trying to talk to Alvon. She took out a drawing paper and gave him a brush with some blue paint in a cup. I helped in getting Alvon to settled in a chair and let him wear a coat before putting the brush in hand. Soon, he started to understand painting it on the drawing paper.
It was his first artwork. I was thinking hopefully, by the end of the day, I will get to keep that artwork. As he was "learning" to paint, we went outside to settle the paperwork. When we went back to see him, he was playing "stacking" game with Teacher Fifah. We decided to leave him alone then.
Around 11.30am, I went back to his classroom and saw that Teacher Fifah was feeding him lunch. He himself also tried to scoop his food with the spoon, but he looked more than playing with the food. I can see there was quite a mess, but the teachers ignore and continue letting the students to learn feeding themselves. Not long, Teacher Fifah came out to talk to me for a while, telling me his temperature last recorded at 37 degree. When I asked if he was alright, she said so far Alvon cried a little at a time but he was alright as it was only his first day there.
I decided to went home for a while, checked on Eylan before coming back to check on Alvon around 4pm. However, upon reaching Pasir Ris, Teacher Fifah called me and said Alvon's temperature went up to 39.7 degreee. That was scary and they said will sponge him until I arrived.
I immediately went back to Tampines and bought fever medicine (insert bottom for fever to subside soon) on my way back to school. When I saw him, he looked at me like he finally found some comfort and hold on to me tight. I guessed both teachers are still strangers to him then. I requested to check his temperature and seeing it was still high, I inserted the medicine on the spot and decided to bring him home to monitor.
With that, ends Alvon's first day of childcare school. Too bad my camera battery spoilt, if not, I can take a picture of Alvon's first ever artwork.
Alvon - Diagnose With TonsillitiesAt night, his fever didn't really went down and we decided to bring him back to Dr Wong for checkup. I took a cab with him and meet daddy there. Dr Wong checked on him and diagnosed him with Tonsillities. This was the second time I heard this. First was from a friend, whose son had just recovered from the same disgnosis. Just so coincidence. Anyway, that explained why Alvon don't wish to have his meal at times and more cranky these few nights and the fever too.
Dr Wong gave Alvon a week mc and I had just checked with his school, we will start his childcare again on 1st July.
Meanwhile I hope the infection will not get to Eylan. I really don't wish him to have a fever that high at just two month old. Please pray for us!!

A little update...
Alvon will be starting his childcare program next monday. It seems like I am more scared than him. Don't know what to prepare in his bag although I have a listing somewhere from the school. Keep wondering if he can adapt well or not. etc etc lots of questions which I guess, will only have answers when the day arrives.
Speaking of which, I forgot to buy my camera battery when I went out just now. No camera battery, how am I to take photo for him on his first childcare school day!!! Oh no...
Both boys had injection yesterday and the next injection will be in another month time. Injection is really expensive. Just yesterday alone, we have to pay close to $450. The clinic even introduced us to a injection package for eylan. Maybe we will take the package up since we are the sort of parent who just simply follow the guidelines and have all injections for them.
Something about the boys digestive system... Alvon is those type where he will poo whenever there is intake. Even like milk feed or cereal snack feed, he will also poo at times. Thus in a day, he can poo at least two or three times. As for Eylan, these days, he only keep farting and his farting really smells bad. Even the PD commented it yesterday and prescribe some probiotics (i think so) for him. And he poo like once every two days for a while. However, for the last three days, he had not poo at all and today is the fouth day already. Really hope eylan can clear his tummy and stopped me from worrying for him.
Lastly, my newphew arrives yesterday. My cousin and his wife named him Dylan. At first, we thought they purposely then we will have Eylan and Dylan for our son respectively. But it seems not so. They had two names in fact for consideration and decided on Dylan. He pretty fair like alvon and slightly lesser hair than eylan. However, I feel his feature looks more like a girl, and I am sure he will grow up with sharp feature. I guess next time I'll see him on his full month celebration.

We brought baby eylan for his first hair-cut a day right after his full month. Reason because he has much more hair than alvon. More often during his feeding, he will be in sweat.
